Current Role Opportunities
-
WellSpot Functional Medicine | Owasso, OK | Hybrid: in-clinic plus telemedicine
WellSpot Functional Medicine is growing, and we are looking for a Nurse Practitioner who is aligned with our mission and our commitment to deeply personalized care.
We are not a high-volume clinic. We believe healing happens through relationships, time, and attention. If you are ready to practice medicine with intention and depth, this is that opportunity.
About Us
WellSpot Functional Medicine is a boutique practice focused on root-cause medicine, hormone optimization, and whole-person care. We prioritize meaningful patient relationships and give our providers the time and support needed to deliver exceptional outcomes.
We are also a faith-forward practice. Our faith shapes how we care for people, how we make decisions, and the culture our team works in every day. We say that plainly so you know exactly what kind of environment you would be stepping into.
Our sister company, WellSpot IV, extends our care model through IV therapy services, which creates additional opportunities for patient support and clinical involvement.
Functional Medicine Training Requirement (please read before applying)
This one is firm, not a preference. To be considered, you must have at least one of the following:
Training or certification through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). Fellowship, module coursework, or board certification all count.
Training or certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). AFMCP, Advanced Practice Modules, or full IFMCP certification all count.
At minimum, three or more years of hands-on clinical experience practicing functional medicine.
Applications without A4M training, IFM training, or three-plus years of functional medicine practice will not move forward. In your application, name your specific training, certification, or years of functional medicine practice. Please be specific. "Interested in functional medicine" is not the same thing as practicing it.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner with real experience in functional medicine and hormone replacement therapy who is ready to be part of a growing, mission-driven clinic.
This is a hybrid role with genuine room to grow for the right provider. Schedule and hours are discussed during the interview process.
During onboarding and training, most of your time will be spent in-clinic. Once training is complete, your schedule will include a mix of:
In-clinic days, typically 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Telemedicine days worked remotely
What You Will Do
Provide functional medicine and hormone replacement therapy care
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and build individualized treatment plans
Manage follow-up care and keep strong continuity with your patients
Build meaningful, long-term patient relationships
Collaborate with team members to deliver a high-touch care experience
Additional responsibilities:
Provide brief assessments and clinical touchpoints for WellSpot IV patients as needed
Rotate between in-clinic care and telemedicine visits
Work alongside a highly experienced Nurse Practitioner who supports IV services and broader clinical care
Clinical Scope
Beyond hormone and thyroid optimization, we manage more advanced functional medicine cases, including:
Tickborne disease
Chronic viral infections
Gastrointestinal disorders
Autoimmune conditions
Environmental and toxin-related illness
Integrative cancer support, primarily through our IV division
Experience in these areas is a significant advantage.
Required Qualifications
Active Nurse Practitioner license in good standing, with an Oklahoma license or eligibility to obtain one
Minimum 4 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
Minimum 3 years of experience in functional medicine and/or hormone replacement therapy
A4M or IFM training or certification, or three-plus years of hands-on functional medicine practice, as described above
Strong clinical judgment and a patient-centered mindset
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Comfortable practicing in both in-person and telemedicine settings
Tech savvy and able to move through digital systems efficiently
Highly motivated, disciplined, and proactive in owning your responsibilities
Positive, solution-oriented, glass-half-full attitude
Preferred Qualifications
One or more years of experience with tickborne disease and/or integrative cancer care
Experience managing complex chronic illness
Experience with specialty and advanced lab interpretation
Experience with peptides, NAD, and longevity protocols
What Makes This Role Different
Visit times average 30 minutes to 1 hour, because root-cause work does not fit in 15
Boutique, relationship-driven care model
Hybrid flexibility across clinic and remote work
Support staff available, with a strong emphasis on provider ownership
Real exposure to complex, root-cause clinical cases
Room to grow with a scaling practice and shape how it expands
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate plus commission-based bonuses
Growth potential as the practice expands
How to Apply
Complete the application form on this page and attach your resume. Two things we want to see in the form: your specific functional medicine training or certification, and one complex case you are proud of how you handled.
Incomplete applications and applications submitted without a resume attached will not be reviewed.
